Hello, it's me again!
You can tell I'm on holiday - for one thing it's miserable, freezing cold, snowy weather, and for another I've got time to write comments again!
So I'm looking forward to this 'fantastic summer weather', Alex! Is that a promise?
As for the articles, yes, Claude has been very famous, and I have been very angry and sarcastic, haven't I? :) Oh well, I feel that Palominos are well worth defending. And....there's another big Claude article in the following month's copy of Camper and Bus (March copy). The editor had asked me for some details to put in the Readers' Rides section, and this final article was my little write-up, with a couple of pictures I'd sent in, although they've also added in bits of a normal email I'd sent to the rather apologetic writer. So it reads a little odd, but who cares - it got letter of the month!
There's also another little comment from the couple in Southampton.
Problem is, Ian, you're not the only one with scanner trouble. I'd tried to scan all of the articles in to send to Alex a short time ago, and all I can say is never, ever, consider buying a cheap all-in-one scanner / printer / copier from Tesco - it's rubbish! All the scans are illegible. I've tried again today, and it's no better. I may go rescue my old scanner out of the garage/loft wherever it is and give it another go.
Unless you have the March copy too, Tom? Your scanner obviously works!

hello to all, Adrian and Clare here again.been a long time but had things to do( sleep, eat ,drink etc.) have some pics of the van to upload but carnt. hows it done? we are of to bus types on 18th April anyone else going(in Staffordshire). also taking the van to Glastonbury festival in June. nice to see an other van on the site even if it is a long way away. we should all send pics of our vans to the magazine to show solidarity for the Palomino. any chance of organising a club meet, either at a show or a weekend that we can all attend? interested e.mail me at adrian10101@rock.com and we shall see what we can do see you all soon

I'll be at Glastonbury, but without my van. I don't think I'd have escaped last year without the joys of traction control, and my humble palomino isn't fitted with such things!

Great news that you're going to Glastonbury! (and you too, Ian) I'm being very brave and going all on my own, so it would be nice if we could all meet up for a jar or two while we're there. In Claude's absence, I'll be bringing my new stand-in camper van, "Stan" (a green and white 1972 Westy - how shameful!) You'll have to let me know where you're parking, Adrian, and I'll try to get somewhere close - I'll mail you my mobile number.
Hope you both enjoyed Bus Types - I was on holiday otherwise I'd have been there. Any other Palominos? I saw one there last year.
I think it's a great idea for everyone else to send in pics of their Palominos to the magazine - that'd show 'em! :)
And yes, we'll definitely have to have a club meeting - you never know - I might have Claude back in time for Vanfest. Are you going again this year? How about anyone else?

hope you are all ok we are fine, van not so. having fuel probs. needs new pump, but its on its way. went to van types in April bit cold but enjoyed all the same got quite a few weird looks and photos took of our van (they're all jealous really) looking forward to Glastonbury both been busy on training for Oxfam as we'll be working for them during the festival. here's my contact number for Glastonbury as we've got private camping whilst there and not camping with minions lol, will be great to all meet up at last. see you soon.
